It's true!
She had a book signing yesterday at The Grove, My mom and I (she LOVES Kat too!) showed up before 9AM to get my wristband, we were supposed to line up at 4:30 and the signing was going to start at 6. After 7+ hours of killing time by sitting at Starbucks, walking around Hollywood BLVD and Barnes and Noble, it was finally time! I was one of the first people to receive my wristband so I was in group A, not counting the priority line (they were Barnes and Noble members, so they were in a seperate line) I was third in line!
I signed her journal that was being passed around and then it was my turn, I was shaking so bad! I walked up to her and handed her 3 drawings that I've done of her

She loved them so much! She gave me the biggest hug ever! Twice! She held the drawing's up to the entire line and said something like "Wow, right?! These are amazing" people were cheering I couldn't believe it, this amazing artist loved MY drawings! It was crazy! She said "These are all of my tattoos!" She kept telling me to keep drawing and to never ever stop and she said "If you ever stop drawing, I'm going to hunt you down!" As I was walking away, she told me that she was going to put them on her website
I met Dan Smith and Rooftop too!

It was an incredible day and Kat is the sweetest, most genuine person. I'll never understand people who don't like her, but they probably hate kittens and lollipops too.

Most of you probably know that I've only ever used Crayola pencils before, but I FINALLY bought some Prismacolors and they arrived today. It turns out they're a whole lot cheaper on Amazon. I'm so excited to use them!

June 25th marks the one year anniversary of Michael Jackson's passing. I can't believe it's already been a year, that day is still so clear in my mind This is a special feature to celebrate The King Of Pop. His spirit will live on through his music, his dance and this incredible art.

Bettie Page passed away yesterday.

This morning my mom woke me up at 5 AM and told me that she died, I couldn't believe it. I've been thinking about Bettie all day. I'm even wearing my "Bettie Page Forever" shirt right now. This is the first time a hero of mine has passed away in my lifetime. At least she lived a full life and I hope that she has found peace.

I owe Bettie a huge thanks for her influence in my drawing's. She's been a muse of mine since I was 14, it's because of her that I love pin-up. Bettie will always be remembered and I'm proud to call her my idol.
